Sebastian is 1 year old. They have been married for 15 years. Heidy comes from a family of dad, mom and 2 siblings. She was 2 years old when her parents decided to move to Roatán. Heidy’s parents worked as farmers in the mainland. They worked growing corn, beans, bananas in other people’s land. Heidy’s parents decided to move to Roatan looking for a better job so they could give their family a better life. Heidy attended school up 6th grade. Heidy’s parents couldn’t afford to send her to higschool, so Heidy decided to stop studying and decided to start working to help her parents and to save for her studies as well. Heidy has worked in different places as a salesperson for a cell company, a book store, a paint store. Currently, Heidy works at a restaurant as a cook. She makes around $16 per day. Maynor was born in the mainland; he was 3 years old when he moved to Roatán. He was abandoned by his dad when he was just a little boy. He grew up with mom and his brother. Maynor’s mom had a small dining place. People came to eat at her place and she would also cook for different people such as construction workers, Maynor and his brother took care of delivering the meals. Maynor has worked in different places such as: hotels, clothing stores and selling veggies as well. Currently, Maynor works at a lottery place. Maynor’s salary varies, he gets commissions only, no salary; it depends on how many tickets he can sell per day. He can make between $25 - $45 per day or sometimes he doesn’t make much at all. Heidy and Maynor have been paying for a piece land. They wish to build someday a safe, strong and comfortable place to live in. Let’s make their dream come true!
